The Recreational Team is a three-day per week
program for athletes who love rowing but do not have the time to commit to the Racing Team. The team is divided into the novice program which is open to athletes with no rowing experience, and the experienced program which is open to athletes who have completed at least a summer learn-to-row session or a previous season on the Recreational Team. Emphasis is on technique development, physical
conditioning, and, of course, fun!

Matthew Zucker Memorial Fund
Scholarships are available for all of NRRA’s youth programs through the Matthew
Zucker Memorial Fund. Scholarships
are awarded on rolling basis throughout the year. An interview with the athlete
and a parent is required before the start of the program. It is expected
that scholarship applicants contribute something towards the program. Call our Outreach Director with any questions.
