The Summer Learning classes are non-competitive rowing programs for Middle School and High School athletes for ALL LEVELS – NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! The emphasis is on learning rowing technique, boat handling, physical conditioning, teamwork, and fun!
Entering Grade 6 and above in the Fall. Middle School and High School rowers will be taught separately to adjust the program to their differing sizes and strengths.
Learn to Row and Middle School Experienced
For new rowers in Middle School and High School, enroll in our three week Learn to Row programs, an introduction to rowing and our club. Middle school athletes will enjoy sessions which incorporate on-land and water rowing with instruction with warm up exercises and camp activities. High School athletes will be introduced to rowing in a fun, physically challenging environment that teaches basic rowing technique with athlete body weight exercises and basic training principles. Experienced Middle School athletes will continue to gain skill. Athletes will be grouped based on experience and progress.
- Session 1: 6/20-7/8
- Session 2: 7/11-7/29
- Session 3: 8/1-8/19
Practices: Mon – Fri 9a-11:30a
Learn to Scull
One week programs where athletes will learn the art of sculling in small groups of no more than six rowers per session.
Pre-requisite – Learn to Row program (above) or equivalent experience. (minimum participants may be required)
- Session 1: 7/5-7/9 (Tu – Sat, due to 7/4 holiday)
- Session 2: 7/11-7/15
- Session 3: 8/1-8/5
Practices: Mon – Fri 9:45a-11:45a
