The Summer Learning classes are non-competitive rowing programs for Middle School and early High School athletes (rising 9th graders) for ALL LEVELS – NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! The emphasis is on learning rowing technique, boat handling, physical conditioning, teamwork, and fun!
The Development Experienced programs are for those who have completed a Learn-to-Row class or equivalent.
Entering Grade 6 – 9 in the Fall. Rowers will be taught separately to adjust the program to their differing sizes and strengths.
Age: Rising 6th -9th grade, born 2006 or earlier
For new rowers, in our two week Learn to Row programs, an introduction to rowing and our club. Athletes will enjoy sessions which incorporate on-land and water rowing with instruction with warm up exercises and camp activities.
We are offering 2 week sessions with classes 4 days per week. After you have completed the Learn-to-Row class you are ready to move up to the Development Experienced Team.
AM: 8:30-10a or
- Session 1: 6/25-7/6 (due to July 4th holiday this session’s days vary from the other sessions. Second week will be M, T, Th, F)
- Session 2: 7/9-7/19
- Session 3: 7/23-8/2
Development Team Experienced:
Experienced Middle School athletes will continue to gain skill. Athletes will be grouped based on experience and progress.
New this summer – a flexible schedule. You choose the total number of weeks to row, and the weeks you will row. Easy to schedule around vacations, and maximize your rowing.
Choose between 1 to 10 single week Sessions starting June 4 through August 10.
The more sessions you choose, the less expensive per week.
AM: M-Th 8:30-10a (AM Sessions start July 2)
PM: M-Th 5-6:30p
Can choose AM or PM Session. PM Sessions only while school is in session. AM sessions begin week of June 25.
If you choose 8 or more weeks, and AM sessions for the balance of the summer, please come for the PM session before school is out.
