USRowing Waiver/Championship Membership

Hello All,

The time has come to sign your athlete’s USRowing electronic waiver, and renew/create your athlete’s USRowing Championship membership. Both are mandatory, and can be taken care of through a single process online.

The electronic waiver is required by local organizing committees (LOCs), the organizers of the regattas our athletes will compete in this spring. In addition, USRowing’s Northeast District Championships (May 17-18) is a USRowing-owned event. As per their rules for the regatta, “Each participant is required to be a current, ‘Championship’ member of USRowing. Each participant must also have a signed waiver on file for 2014.” Championship membership is USRowing’s term for paid membership.

Athletes who do not have their waiver signed will be prohibited by an LOC from competing at their regatta. Our first regatta, 11th Annual Greenwich Invitational, is on April 5, 2014. The waiver must be signed prior to race day. Athletes who do not have a USRowing Championship membership and a signed waiver will be prohibited by USRowing to compete at Districts.

Become a Championship member:

1. To become a Championship member click here.
2. The first thing you will be asked to do is sign your electronic waiver.
3. Then you will be asked to complete information fields. A field that MUST be completed is “Club Affiliation” near the bottom of the page. It is a drop-down menu, scroll to Norwalk River Rowing Association, and click on it. If you do not do this, your athlete will not appear on our roster!
4. When you click on “Accept” you will be directed to the membership selection page. Select “45 US Dollars ($ USD) per year (age 26 and under).”
5. When you click on “continue” you will be sent to the payment page.

Renew a Championship membership:

1. To renew your membership click here.
2. You will need your membership number and your password. Unless you changed it, the default password is the zip code you have listed in your profile.
3. Enter membership number and password, and then you will be sent to a page that lets you sign your waiver, update your profile, and renew your membership.
4. When you click on “Renew Your Championship Membership” you will be directed to the membership selection page. Select “45 US Dollars ($ USD) per year (age 26 and under).”
5. When you click on “continue” you will be sent to the payment page.
