Bronze Medal Winning Junior Women’s Quad
The Norwalk River Rowing Youth Racing Team demonstrated true grit, determination and strength racing against a highly competitive field consisting of 56 clubs and over 1,200 boats racing at the Saratoga Invitational, last weekend May 2-3, taking home eight medals.
Highlights include:
- GOLD for the Girls’ Varsity 2x in a decisive 2.2 second win over the crew that beat them at Mercer.
- BRONZE for the Girls’ Varsity 4x who grabbed the medal on the last stroke in a dramatic race to the finish.
- THREE SILVERS for NRRA Boys’ Varsity team showing their strength in the 2- final, 1x flights, and 4x final.
- GOLD and SILVER for our Freshman Varsity Boys’ in the 2x
- SILVER for the Boys Novice 4+.
