Summer is a great time to experiment with a new sport, hone your skills, or achieve competitive greatness! Norwalk River Rowing has a program for you.

Here are the programs we are offering for rising 6th graders through college rowers.

While school is in session, practices will take place in the afternoon. We then move to morning sessions in the second half of June through the summer.

Summer Learn To Row

New to the sport? This program is a great way for your athlete (rising 6th graders and above) to try out the great sport of rowing. Summer is the best time to be on the water, and a great time to give rowing a try! Our experienced coaching team will teach your athlete the basics of the sport, and within one session, they will be ready to join a developmental program later this Summer or this Fall!
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. We’ll teach you.

Session 1: June 22nd – July 2rd…Mondays – Fridays (9 – 11am)
Session 2: July 6th – July 17th…Mondays – Fridays (9 – 11am)
Session 3: July 20th – July 31st…Mondays – Fridays (9 – 11am)

Ages 14 and under should join learn to row. If you are 15-16 with no previous experience, you are welcome to do one session of learn to row before joining our development program. If you are 17-19, please email chuckw (at) norwalkriverrowing.org to inquire what the best starting point is for your athlete.

Summer Intermediate/Experienced

Rising 7th-10th graders

June 22 – July 31st…Mondays – Fridays (4  – 6pm)

May choose full summer or per week.

Summer Collegiate/U23

June 22 – July 31st…Mondays – Fridays (6:30  – 8:30am)

Note – athletes are not eligible to participate in rowing or other training activities until registration has been completed, payment made and medical paperwork completed.
