Greetings NRRA Parents!
Thank you for your interest in the Norwalk River Rowing’s Youth Program. We hope that your child is enjoying his or her first experience in the sport of rowing – or will be joining us very soon!
There is a lot to learn about this exciting sport, we think you will find being a NRRA parent rewarding, inspiring and fun. The NRRA Parents’ Organization is eager to help you become acquainted with the sport and rowing community and look forward to your involvement.
For returning parents, welcome back, and get ready for a tremendous year of rowing, camaraderie and fun for your kids.
Parents’ Organization:
Our youth rowing programs are supported by parent volunteer efforts. Parents organize events, support regatta logistics and much more. At the beginning of each season, we partner with NRRA Staff in hosting a Parents’ Info Night to give parents a chance to stay better informed, get more involved, ask questions, comment, meet each other and to provide support for a better environment for our youth. Keep an eye out for an announcement.
The success of our youth programs relies on the cooperation and coordination of the coaches, members, athletes, and Parents. Parents and Guardians are instrumental in helping to create a positive and rewarding experience for our rowers. There are many facets to allow for training and racing for our youth and your involvement is welcomed, and necessary for success.
Aside from cheering on your rower or coxswain we need help in many areas; contact us for ways you can contribute: parentsorganization (at) norwalkriverrowing (dot) org
