Winter Programs – Believe it or not, winter is a great time to get re-acquainted with the sport.  Brush up on your  stroke and mechanics in our program with experienced rowers. The program uses rowing machines (ergs), weights and cross training to get fit, stay fit and be ready for when the breezes are warm once more.

So, maybe you have just completed the Community Challenge, or you finished up some private lessons or a Learn-to-Row class and you are ready for more.

Novice Rowers are relatively new to rowing. You have the basics, but want to work more on the mechanics.

Norwalk River Rowing offers a few programs for you:

Summer Evenings: Two day a Week programs that help you fine tune your skills. Intended for the Novice rower who is just starting to get their sea legs, and for those who want to learn.

Masters Too: Two day-a-week morning program, similar to the Summer Evening programs, but geared for the Early Riser from 6am-7:30am T/Th. Intended for the Novice Rower.

Community Challenge:  Bring along your friends, neighbors, co-workers, church group and form a boat.  See more about the Community Challenge here.

Year-round Morning programs: You’ve made progress, and you are ready to make more of a commitment, for a higher level of training. Sign up for 3 times per week and start to integrate into the larger  masters community. We offer a program at 6-7:30am that includes coaching as well as fitness training.
